Kim Dotcom Allowed Time To Record Album

The Auckland District Court relaxed bail conditions for file sharing website Megaupload owner Kim Dotcom so he can finish recording a hip-hop album.

Dotcom, a German citizen and New Zealand resident, has been under virtual house arrest while he awaits a hearing in August that will decide if he is to be extradited to the U.S. to face internet piracy charges.

Dotcom has been able to spend four hours a day, two days a week, at Roundhouse Studios, which is owned by Crowded House’s Neil Finn.

He can now record for six hours per day. But he must continue to inform probation officers before recording and send a photo of himself in the studio.
