AEG LivingSocial

Live Nation has Groupon. Now AEG has LivingSocial.

The online discount houses, which provide consumers with virtual coupons to various opportunities from tennis lessons to baking sales, have become extraordinarily popular, and Live Nation has touted Groupon as a successful partnership that has helped increase ticket sales. LivingSocial is also not too shabby, with 65 million users in 22 countries.

AEG expects to move tickets through LivingSocial, including bundled AEG/LivingSocial packages, for AEG-owned venues.

“Partnering with LivingSocial opens up a new avenue for fans to discover and attend all kinds of AEG-affiliated events, whether it’s sports, music or other entertainment-focused events,” said Shervin Mirhashemi, COO of AEG Global Partnerships. “Using the LivingSocial platform offers AEG a new channel to sell unique packages and tickets to highly passionate audiences across the country.”

The companies are also expected to bundle offers that may include VIP entrances, limited edition merch and early admission to concerts.
