Animal Collective Fall Dates

Animal Collective will be back on the road in September for the band’s first tour of 2012. U.S. dates kick off in Seattle, followed by a run of European shows.

The experimental, psychedelic rock has a new album coming out that month – Centipede Hz. The release date is Sept. 4 on Domino Records.

The U.S. excursion begins at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre Sept. 18 with shows booked through Oct. 5 in Brooklyn, N.Y., at Williamsburg Park.

The tour includes one gig in Canada in Vancouver, British Columbia, at Malkin Bowl Sept. 19. And, just like Animal Collective’s last U.S. tour in summer 2011, the band will once again play the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md. The venue, which inspired the name of the band’s 2009 album, will welcome the group back Oct. 2.

Additional stops are scheduled in Portland, Ore. (Sept. 20); Los Angeles (Sept. 23); Dallas (Sept. 27); New Orleans (Sept. 29); Atlanta (Sept. 30) and Philadelphia (Oct. 3).

The European journey includes shows in France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany and Switzerland.

Presale tickets for select U.S. dates go on sale beginning June 13. Tickets for the Sept. 23 Los Angeles gig at the Hollywood Bowl are on sale now.
