Man Hit Outside Electric Daisy

A 31-year-old Florida man is in extremely critical condition after being struck by a truck outside the Electric Daisy Carnival rave in Las Vegas.

Nevada Highway Patrol officials say the man was crossing Las Vegas Boulevard near Gate 6 of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway when he was hit about 4:30 a.m. Monday.

Trooper Loy Hixson tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal the man had been drinking all morning, according to his friend. The music festival officially ended at 5:30 a.m. Monday.

Authorities say the 67-year-old Mesquite woman driving the truck was traveling 35 to 45 mph at the time of the crash

The three-day rave drew an estimated 90,000 people each day.
