Pellicano Seeks Spring

Celebrity sleuth Anthony Pellicano, cooling his heels in a Texas prison after his conviction on racketeering, fraud, illegal wiretapping and other charges, has filed a motion requesting bail pending his appeal.

Pellicano’s legal troubles began in earnest when then-Los Angeles Times reporter Anita Busch reported she was the recipient of mob-style threats after writing a series of negative articles about CAA co-founder Mike Ovitz.

The ensuing investigation led to Pellicano, formerly employed as a private detective by no less than Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor.
