McCartney, who earlier this week announced he will play the Olympic Opening Ceremonies in London July 27, has nixed his scheduled June 30 and July 1 shows scheduled for Horsens, Denmark.

A message posted on McCartney’s official website said the shows were being moved to make way for, well, more shows.

From PaulMcCartney.com:

“It has been decided to move Paul’s upcoming Danish shows to accommodate further tour dates due to demand. Given the scale of Paul’s production and his work on a fresh show it makes more sense to reschedule current one-off dates in line with the new shows yet to be announced.”

Fans posted their disappointment on McCartney’s website, with one saying the postponements are “embarrassing, arrogant and shameful,” while another complained that he had planned to drive from Sweden for the concerts and that he had already “taken days off work.”
