Foreign Casinos Funding Romney PAC?

Foreign money is helping fund Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign, according to Sen. John McCain’s recent “Meet The Press” interview.

McCain suggested casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, who heads up the Sands Corporation of Macau casinos and operates the Venetian in Las Vegas, has funneled global casino profits – $10 million thus far – into a pro-Romney super PAC.

“This is a great deal of money,” he said. “And again, we need a level playing field and we need to go back to the realization that Teddy Roosevelt had: that we have to have a limit on the flow of money and that corporations are not people.”

McCain also criticized Citizens United, the Supreme Court case that paved the way for super PACs by allowing unlimited donations from individuals and corporations to political action committees.

He called the decision “the most misguided, naïve, uninformed, egregious decision of the United States Supreme Court, I think, in the 21st century.”
