Radiohead Rescheduling

Radiohead will reschedule a number of upcoming European dates following a deadly stage collapse that happened hours before their concert at Toronto’s Downsview Park June 16.

The collapse, which killed drum tech Scott Johnson and injured three other crew members, also destroyed much of the band’s stage setup.

Radiohead said June 21 the collapse destroyed its light show, which was “unique and will take many weeks to replace.”

“The collapse also caused serious damage to our backline, some elements of which are decades old and therefore hard to replace.

“Whilst we all are dealing with the grief and shock ensuing from this terrible accident there are also many practical considerations to deal with,” the band said, noting upcoming dates beginning in Rome June 30 through July 9 in Vaud, Switzerland, will be rescheduled.
