Jay-Z Set To Open Barclays
It’s not often you get to see an NBA team owner as the headlining act opening a brand new arena. But then, not every team owner is Jay-Z.

The rapper / Brooklyn Nets minority owner announced he would open the brand new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., last fall. Since then, other shows have been announced for the venue, such as Barbra Streisand (Oct. 11 & 13), Rush (Oct. 22), Journey (Oct. 3) and Justin Bieber (Nov. 12).
While Jay-Z’s first date at Barclays (Sept. 28) has been on the books for a while, the venue has added Sept. 29-30.
