More Jay-Z For NYC

One Jay-Z show at Barclays Center wasn’t enough to celebrate the venue’s opening. Three wouldn’t do either. Due to overwhelming demand, the rapper will now be playing five nights in Brooklyn, N.Y., this fall.

Having Jay-Z do the honors of opening the arena makes sense because he’s also a minority owner of the venue’s home team, the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets.

In addition to the previously announced Sept. 28 opening show, and the two gigs that were added earlier this week (Sept. 29-30), Barclays has booked Jay-Z Oct. 3-4. 

Presale tickets for the October shows are on sale now. And just like the previously announced dates, 7,000 tickets for each of the October shows will be priced at under $30. Tickets go on sale to the general public for all five concerts July 13.
