No Use For A Name’s Tony Sly Dies
Tony Sly’s July 31 death was announced today by the band’s label, Fat Wreck Chords. No other information was given.
In addition to fronting No Use For A Name, Sly was also working on a solo acoustic career.
No Use For A Name bassist Matt Riddle posted a message on the band’s Facebook page saying that he had lost “a great friend” and that fans had lost “a great songwriter.”
“I knew Tony very well and he would definitely want to thank you for all the love and support for both No Use and his solo career,” Riddle wrote.
