Woman Dies On Party Bus

A young woman was killed falling out of a party bus returning from a concert at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif., and the CHP is having a tough time figuring out what happened.

Natasha Noland, 25, got in a fight with another young woman, and the two tumbled out of the bus as it was traveling at 45 mph on Highway 17 in Los Gatos – commonly known as “Blood Alley.” The bus was returning from a July 27 Brad Paisley show.

Noland was killed beneath the wheels of the bus. The California Highway Patrol was still trying to understand the situation, made more difficult on account of everyone on the bus being intoxicated, except for the bus driver, according to the Santa Cruz Sentinel.

“It’s just going to take a long time,” officer D.J. Sarabia told the paper.

Officers had to deal with a “bizarre, dangerous scene” when, after they arrived, the drunken passengers were wandering the side of the busy and narrow highway. Also, several passengers fled the scene, apparently minors afraid of getting arrested.

Investigators are trying to figure out how the bus door opened. The names of the other woman in the fight and the bus driver are being withheld because of potential criminal charges. Noland’s boyfriend was arrested for underage drinking.

It was unclear who rented the bus, which was provided by Party Bus Santa Cruz, or allowed the minors to have alcohol. The owner of the company has refused media interviews but had talked to the CHP.
