Sean Ashford Dies In Motorcycle Accident

Sean Ashford, vice president of special event insurance for Doodson Insurance brokers, died July 27 in a Dallas motorcycle accident at age 43.

Ashford, a Dallas native, began his music industry career working in clubs and other venues in Denver and Austin before returning to his hometown, where he served as talent buyer and production manager for the Bronco Bowl.

He produced concerts for artists including Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins, Coldplay, Bonnie Raitt, Don Henley, Patti LaBelle and Snoop Dogg before joining CSI Special Events Insurance, which later joined Doodson Insurance, where he worked the last 10 years.

In his years in the industry, he amassed a large collection of memorabilia, which will be auctioned off to create the Sean Ashford Fund to benefit young musicians in the Dallas area.
