Man Seeks Bow Wow Refund

An Ohio man has sued a school superintendent and concert promoter for a concert that never happened.

Guy Taylor wants $3,000 plus interest from East Liverpool school superintendent James Herring and T&T Promotions’ Terrance Smitherman for a canceled Nov. 6 Bow Wow concert. Taylor’s demand is the cost of seven tickets, plus interest.

Herring canceled the show after Smitherman failed to provide proper insurance on time, according to the Review newspaper. Smitherman said tickets would be refunded, but they were not.

City detectives found that Smitherman did not deliberately defraud anyone and that funds were used on encountered expenses. About 500 tickets were sold costing between $10 and $35.

A small claims court trial is set for Aug. 27.
