Joe Jackson Drops Lawsuit

Michael Jackson’s father has decided to drop one of his lawsuits – a wrongful-death case against Dr. Conrad Murray.

Joe Jackson has asked the court to dismiss his 2010 lawsuit without prejudice, according to TMZ. The father of Michael Jackson claimed in the lawsuit that Murray withheld vital information from the doctors and EMTs – notably that he had administered Propofol – on the day Michael died.

Joe Jackson is still a nominal party in the Jackson family’s lawsuit against AEG, which would have promoted MJ’s O2 residency in London. The Jacksons claim AEG did not fulfill its contractual obligation to provide physical care for Michael.

Joe filed an individual suit against AEG, but that was thrown out in February when it was deemed redundant.
