Red Hot Chili Peppers To Ring In 2013

New Year’s Eve got a little more interesting today with the announcement that the Red Hot Chili Peppers will play an “intimate” performance in Las Vegas. Details, including ticket info, after the jump.

At 11 p.m. New Year’s Eve RHCP will play The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, the same venue that hosted Stevie Wonder Dec. 31, 2011 and Jay-Z and Coldplay on the last evening of 2010.

As in previous New Year’s Eve concerts, The Cosmopolitan will broadcast the Peppers’ entire performance to the masses on the Vegas’ famous strip via the resort’s digital marquee.
With general admission passes priced at $150 (plus applicable taxes, charges), tickets go on sale Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. Las Vegas time. A limited number of VIP tables, including bottle service and a primo viewing area, are also available.

This being New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas, The Cosmopolitan does have a few top-tier packages, including a two-night stay in one of the resort’s “Terrace One Bedrooms,” including VIP hotel check-in and an open bar (9 p.m. to midnight), priced at $1,800. Package tickets go on sale Sept. 6.
