Mumford & Sons
Pilfered In Perth

Someone stole about $10,000 worth of Mumford & Sons gear backstage in Perth, Australia, at the first of eight sold-out shows in the country.

After the band played to 4,000 at Belvoir Amphitheatre Oct. 12 it was discovered someone made it past backstage security.

The thief was hungry: missing were the band’s in-ear monitors and food including a tub of spaghetti and bottle of tomato sauce.

Tour manager Giles Woodhead posted on Facebook, “We’re not going to get the police involved, and we understand it might have seemed like a good idea at the time, but the (monitors) are worthless to anyone else but us.”

The Australian tour winds up Oct. 31.
