Bar Owner Pleads Guilty

The former owner of Shapeshifters bar in Blenheim, New Zealand, pleaded guilty in his case over the death of a patron in August 2009.  

Kevin Robert King pleaded guilty to a charge of manslaughter by omitting to discharge a legal duty to take care.

 
The Oct. 9 plea was over the death of Matthew Heagney, who died of severe head injuries after King and two doormen carried him out of the venue at 2:40 .am.
