Leach Turns A Profit

Eight years after the doors opened at the Leach Amphitheater in Oshkosh, Wis., the venue is finally in the black.

The city-owned shed recently announced it produced a $3,400 budget surplus this past season, according to the Oshkosh Northwestern, which means congratulations are in order for the Oshkosh Parks Department.

The Parks Department took over operations at the venue a few years ago from PMI Entertainment Group of Green Bay.

PMI had scored a three-year agreement from the Oshkosh city council in 2006, but never turned a profit and opted out of renewing the deal, the paper said.
