Aerosmith Taking It To The Streets

The Bad Boys from Boston will be playing in the streets of their hometown Nov. 5. Aerosmith has a few good reasons to throw a party. Not only is the next day the big election – but it’s also the release date for the band’s new album.

According to Aerosmith’s PR reps, the plan is for the band “to show up somewhere in the city, around noon, and play on the streets.”

The location will be revealed the morning of Nov. 5. Until then, you’ll just have to guess where exactly in Beantown the pre-Election Day/record release party will be going down.

Music From Another Dimension is due out Nov. 6 on Columbia Records. And to tie in the album with Election Day, the band suggests you take a hint from the track “Freedom Fighter.”

“Anyone who votes is a Freedom Fighter,” Joe Perry said.

An announcement from the band doesn’t endorse any candidate, but says “People, get out and vote! For whomever you like. Just do it.”

Aerosmith’s fall tour begins Nov. 8 in Oklahoma City and runs through Dec. 13 in Nashville.
