Bloch, 59, opened the club in 1989 to combine his passion for grassroots activism, the environment and improvisational music

The venue went on to feature acts including Pearl Jam, Blues Traveler, Phish, moe., Oasis, Spin Doctors, Agnostic Front and Dave Matthews Band as well as advancing the Ska movement in the 1990s.

The venue, which shuttered in 2001, was featured in the 2006 documentary “Wetlands Preserved: The Story of an Activist Nightclub.”
