Elton Gets His Own Star

To celebrate Elton John s 45th concert at the Sydney Entertainment Centre since 1983 – the most by any performer – the venue literally reached for the stars.

It collaborated with the Sydney Observatory to officially name a Southern Hemisphere star in the Constellation of Phoenix “The Sir Elton John Star.”

A plaque was presented to him by SEC GM Steve Romer before the first of two shows.
