More ‘12-12-12’ Acts: Bon Jovi, Vedder, Grohl

Jon Bon Jovi will be joined by some special musicians at “12-12-12 (A Concert For Sandy Relief)” – his bandmates! In addition to adding Bon Jovi to the lineup, organizers of the benefit show have announced a few more acts and the ticket onsale date.

The all-star lineup now includes Dave Grohl and Eddie Vedder. We’ll have to wait and see if the rest of the members of Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam show up.

After all, organizers say that other top artists are still to be announced.

“12-12-12” (A Concert For Sandy Relief) takes over New York City’s Madison Square Garden Dec. 12. The event is being produced by the team that produced and sponsored the 9/11 benefit “The Concert for New York City” – Madison Square Garden Company Executive Chairman James Dolan, Clear Channel President John Sykes and Weinstein Company Co-Founder and Chairman Harvey Weinstein.

Net proceeds go to the Robin Hood Relief Fund, which is providing resources to local organizations helping victims in the regions hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy.

So far, the lineup features previously announced acts Paul McCartney, Kanye West, The Who, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Roger Waters, Billy Joel and Alicia Keys. 

Tickets go on sale to the general public Monday, Dec. 3 at 12 p.m. EST through Ticketmaster, TheGarden.com and RadioCity.com.

In other 12-12-12 news, Chase has signed on as a presenting sponsor. Chase credit or debit card members will get the first chance to purchase tickets. A limited number of tickets will be available to Chase members starting at 9 a.m. EST Dec. 3.

Although prices haven’t been revealed, organizers promise that tickets will be offered at a variety of price levels. And here’s some more good news –Ticketmaster has agreed to waive its ticket service charges.
