Cherry’s The Thing For by:Larm

The keynote speakers at next year’s by:Larm conference  in Norway will include singer-songwriter Neneh Cherry  who has been working with Swedish jazz trio The Thing.

Cherry, who was born in Sweden, will face a Q&A on whatever delegates want to ask her.

By:Larm’s conference programme, much of which has been provided by music industry consultancy Music Ally, will include such topics as “Who Owns Your Record Collection?,” which will focus on the changing paradigms of supply, ownership and economics in the digital domain.

Other sessions are headed “To Infinity and Beyond: The Art of the Archive,” “Radio GaGa, Death of the Niche” and “Live Goes Digital.”

Music Ally will also provide a State of the Nation Address, which will recap the recorded music industry in 2012 and look ahead to the key trends in 2013.

By:Larm is in Oslo, Norway, Feb. 13-16.

Acts already announced to play the showcase festival include Anja Kløve, Aslak Hartberg’s The Fuzz, Cockroach Agenda, Emile The Duke, Bottled in England, Colleagues, and Solen.
