Scaccia collapsed during a Rigor Mortis gig at The Rail Club. He was pronounced dead at the emergency room at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Scaccia had asked for strobe lights in the club to be turned off. Published reports indicate the guitarist may have suffered a seizure.

The band’s Facebook page says Scaccia’s death was due to “atherosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease.”
