The Return Of ‘Kanrocksas’
Presented by MMF, a company featuring Kanrocksas co-founder Bill Brandmeyer and Kansas City-based compnay Evenergy, the festival never returned after its 2011 debut. But you can’t blame MMF. Word is the festival took last year off because its Kansas Speedway location underwent a facelift in 2012 that encompassed major infield renovations as well as the opening of the Hollywood Casino.
Now Kanrocksas has locked down its second event, taking over the Speedway June 28-29. Promising more than 30 acts, organizers say Kanrocksas will run the gamut from rock to electronica to hip hop.
Limited “Winter Special” passes are now available and include a $150 two-day ticket and a $25 camping pass. For discount-oriented fans, the Winter Special ticket represents a $40 price reduction while the camping ticket is a $25 drop in price.
But Kanrocksas’ “Winter Special” won’t last for long. Heck, it won’t even last through winter. Instead, those discount prices expire at midnight Jan. 31. Visit Kanrocksas.com for more information.
