Taking place at Hyde Park, Barclaycard British Summer Time is an AEG Live event and will feature themed zones that will include entertainment and other attractions dear to the concert fan’s heart such as bistros, cocktail bars and entertainment, according to London’s Daily Telegraph.

Scheduled to run June 28 to July 7, the festival will feature six concerts at Hyde Park taking place June 28-30 and July 5-7, reports NME.

A press conference was held to announce the festival and Bon Jovi’s July 5 concert.  Regarding sound and curfew regulations for Hyde Park that became very apparent last summer when the plug was pulled while Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen played “Twist & Shout,” a reporter asked Jon Bon Jovi if he could “assure fans that … Bon Jovi is going to be as loud as they want to hear it?”

“We know ‘Twist & Shout’ in the key of D, E, [and] F and we’ll make sure we play it as loud as 11.  We’ll turn it right up and let them deal with that,” Bon Jovi replied.  “Hopefully, all the authorities know all the words and they can sing along as they’re carting me off to Hyde Park jail.”

But Bon Jovi may not be looking at a stretch in Hyde Park’s hoosegow.  Organizers said they addressed sound issues by moving the stage and making sure it wasn’t pointed toward residential areas.

Fan club tickets for Bon Jovi’s appearance go on sale Jan. 24 and the general onsale launches Feb. 1.  Visit BonJovi.com for more information.
