Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night

Tim McGraw has invited a few friends to a television taping and concert to help him celebrate the beginning of the 2013 touring season. Well, maybe more than a few friends. It all happens when the Academy Of Country Music salutes him at a mammoth event in Las Vegas come April.

Set for April 8, “ACM Presents: Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night” will feature the country music favorite along with his hand-picked choices from country, pop, rock and more in a two hour galaxy of stars shindig that fans will talk about long after the final curtain drops. Although no performers have yet been announced for the special event, word is that McGraw’s guests will include a few surprises from the worlds of television and film.

But if you can’t make it to Vegas and the MGM Grand Garden Arena, you’ll still have the chance to experience this special night, albeit sometime later when CBS airs the show on a date not yet disclosed.

Proceeds will benefit the Academy’s charitable arm – ACM Lifting Lives.

“I hope I can help turn the fans on to some of the best live music that will be on the road this summer and really put a spotlight on the ones I know they won’t want to miss,” McGraw said.

“I also feel a responsibility to help raise some money and awareness for ACM Lifting Lives and all the good work they do. They supported me last summer with our Homefront Program and helped me give away a house to a veteran in need in every market we played in, so I’m excited to get some of my friends together and repay the favor.”
