A Spring Run For Graham Parker & The Rumour

East Coast fans of Graham Parker & The Rumour have something to shout about as the band slots a brief series of April dates that include stops in New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Maryland and more.

But this outing coming after the band’s first sold-out tour in 31 years in support of its 2012 effort, Three Chords Good, isn’t entirely East Coast-centric.  Moving inland, Parker & Co. will also play Detroit and Chicago.

While some bands, such as E Street Band, Silver Bullet Band, and The Heartbreakers, are known for the man standing at the center of the stage, The Rumour had a rep as a hard-rocking club band before joining up with Parker during the 1970s.

And The Rumour remains true to its roots, fielding the same lineup that backed Parker all those years ago with Brinsley Schwarz and Martin Belmont on guitars, keyboardist Bob Andrews, bassist Andrew Bodnar and Stephen Goulding on drums.

Here’s the rundown:

April 5 – Bethlehem, Pa., Musikfest Cafe At ArtsQuest Center
April 6 – Annapolis, Md., Rams Head On Stage
April 9 – Fairfield, Conn., StageOne
April 12 – Pawtucket, R.I., The Met
