The band reveals its 2013 road plans – a full tour of the U.S. beginning late this month and stretching into May. Look for Stephen Richards & Co. in such markets as Louisville, Orlando, Houston, Phoenix and Los Angeles.

To say the last thirteen months in the Taproot universe has been interesting would be an understatement. A couple of months before the band’s latest album, The Episodes, was released in April, frontman Richards experienced a seizure. The singer later told Loudwire.com that he didn’t know what it was and that the seizures didn’t return until the day of the album’s release. Having a big record release party planned in the band’s Flint, Mich., hometown, Richards collapsed in the morning and woke up in the hospital that evening.

At the time of the interview, tests were inconclusive, although Richards mentioned he might have Meningioma in his front right brain lobe.

“I’ve definitely done some trauma to the brain a bit after years and years of performing as well as major competitive hockey player,” Richards told Loudwire.com. “I’ve taken a lot of dings to the head.”

But Richards and the band refused to be sidelined and did tour in 2012. Now the band returns to the road and is bringing Boy Hits Car along for the ride.
