McGraw, Swift, Chesney Performing At ACM Awards
Produced by dick clark productions, the show will be broadcast on CBS from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas April 7 at 8 p.m. – that’s live on the East Coast and delayed on the West Coast.
Jason Aldean is up for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year for “The Only Way I Know” with Luke Bryan and Eric Church. He’s previously won three ACM Awards.
Including the nod for Vocal Event of the Year, Church is vying for seven ACM awards. His nominations include Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year and Video of the Year. In 2011 he was awarded the Top New Solo Vocalist.
Chesney and McGraw are nominated for Vocal Event of the Year for “Feel Like a Rock Star.” The ACM Award tally so far is 11 awards for Chesney and 15 for McGraw.
Six-time ACM winner Swift hopes to take home her third consecutive win for Entertainer of the Year. She’s also up for four other awards including Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year (as both artist and producer).
Underwood, who has 10 ACM Awards to her name, is also nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year.
The members of Lady Antebellum earned their fifth ACM Award nomination for Vocal Group of the Year. The group has previously taken home seven ACM Awards.
For Little Big Town, this year’s nod for Vocal Group of the Year is its seventh in that category. The band is also up for Album of the Year, Single Record of the Year and Video of the Year. In 2007 Little Big Town won the award for Top New Vocal Duo/Group.
Previously announced performers include Luke Bryan, Kelly Clarkson, Hunter Hayes, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, George Strait and The Band Perry. Plus, the third annual ACM Fan Jam features Brad Paisley and special guets Dierks Bentley, Hunter Hayes and New Artist of the Year nominees Brantley Gilbert, Jana Kramer and Florida Georgia Line.
