Dropkick Murphys Announce Tour, Boot Skinhead
There are a few video versions of last week’s Dropkick Murphys gig at New York City’s Terminal 5. As fans packed the stage for a rendition of AC/DC’s “TNT,” bassist Ken Casey noticed someone doing a “Sieg Heil.” Being a red-blooded Irish/American, Casey just had to express his feelings when it comes to wannabe Nazis.
After finishing a brief April run that includes two weekends at Coachella as well as shows in California, Arizona and Hawaii, The Murphs return to the road beginning with the Sasquatch! festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre near Quincy, Wash., May 26. Other newly announced stops include Denver, Nashville, Cincinnati, Columbus, Montebello and Toronto. The band is also playing Metallica’s “Orion Music + More” festival in Detroit and the Amnesia Rockfest in Montebello, Quebec.
