IMS Engaging The U.S.

Ibiza’s famed International Music Summit is gearing up to make its American debut during the one-day IMS Engage April 17 at the W Hollywood in Los Angeles.

The summit, which has been called “the TED of music conferences,” will feature conversations between Russell Simmons and Sony President of Electronic Music Patrick Moxey, SFX Entertainment’s Shelly Finkel with IMS co-founder Pete Tong and artist managers Troy Carter (Lady Gaga) and Amy Thomson (Swedish House Mafia).

Skrillex will chat with Summit Series co-founder Jeff Rosenthal and Robert F.X. Sillerman’s recent acquisition Beatport will also get its moment in the spotlight when Beatport CEO Matthew Adell sits down to talk tech with author and computer scientist Jaron Lanier.

A performance featuring U.K. singer Foxes with a DJ set by Soul Clap at the W Hollywood will precede IMS Engage on April 16. A summit after-party in partnership with The Windish Agency will be held at Drai’s Hollywood at the hotel.
