Summer Fun With ‘Under The Sun’

Sugar Ray and Smash Mouth gather up Gin Blossoms, Vertical Horizon, and Fastball for a summer romp beginning in Texas.  Playing both coasts and plenty of venues in between, look for this one at your favorite outdoor theatre.

Yes, there are a lot of amphitheatres and other outdoor stages slated for “Under The Sun.”  Sheds such as The Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Calif., DTE Energy Music Theatre located north of Detroit in Clarkston, Mich., the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, N.J., and the Filene Center At Wolf Trap in Vienna, Va.

What do you get for your dollar?  Lots of memories, according to Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath.

“Number 1 songs from the nineties?  Check,” McGrath said.  “A giant party under the summer sun?  Check.  Five multi-platinum bands with quick changeovers?  Check. It’s gonna be a bitchin’ summer.”
