Aldean Fans Park Free

Fans attending Friday’s Jason Aldean concert in Louisville can park for free if they bring an item to send to troops in Afghanistan.

Louisville’s parking authority is making the offer as a way to gather items to send to members of the 101st Airborne “Screaming Eagles” who are serving in Afghanistan.

Aldean’s concert Friday is at the KFC Yum Center in Louisville. Parking is $10 if not donating items.

Items needed for care packages include candy, magazines, beef jerky, music CDs, DVDs, chewing tobacco, protein bars, granola bars, vitamins, foot powder, eye drops and chewing gum.

The parking authority adopted the Fort Campbell-based troops as part of Louisville’s Give a Day week of service that runs through Sunday.
