TCB Dropped Because Of THC

Tuscaloosa, Ala., terminated a contract it had with TCB Security to provide security at several city-owned venues after TCB’s owner was busted on drug charges.

The venues affected are Tuscaloosa Amphitheatre  the River Market and the Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum, and the company provided security for parties and private events at other city venues.

Matthew Colson was arrested on charges of first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a six month investigation, according to the Tuscaloosa News. Authorities confiscated 164 grams of marijuana, $26,390 in cash, four assault rifles, three shotguns and a handgun, according to the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force.

The city had recently renewed TCB’s contract, the News said. It used West Alabama Security Services for an April 24 John Mayer concert before reopening the bid process for a permanent security provider, the paper said.
