Rihanna Reschedules Texas Shows

Imagine hearing that your favorite pop star was coming to your town seven months before the concert is to take place. Imagine the singer postponing the show only hours before the gig was to take place. Then imagine finding out you have to wait another seven months to see your idol in action.  Such is life for Rihanna’s fans in two Texas cities today.

Rihanna fans in Dallas and Houston are probably feeling the unfeeling hands of time slowly tick away today.  Announced way back in September, the singer’s “Diamonds” world tour originally slotted Houston and Dallas for April 15 and 16, respectively.

But illness rarely follows a schedule, such as the malady that forced Rihanna to postpone the shows. However, today’s announcement regarding the missed shows has probably left fans feeling as if they’ve just experienced a classic case of good news/bad news.

The good news is Rihanna has rescheduled her shows planned for Dallas and Houston.

The bad news is fans will have to wait until November, 14 months after the original shows were announced, to see Rihanna in action.  Dallas at the American Airlines Arena has been rescheduled for Nov. 11; Houston at Toyota Center Nov. 14.

Live Nation says tickets for the previously scheduled shows will be honored on the new dates.   Refunds are available at points of purchase.
