HIM Cancels Spring Dates
Illness has forced Finland’s HIM to cancel a short run of May dates in North America in support of the band’s new album. However, the band plans to be up-and-running by the time the Rock Allegiance Tour kicks off at the end of the summer.
HIM frontman/Pollstar interviewee Ville Valo has been diagnosed with severe asthma with presumptive pneumonia. HIM was scheduled to launch a series of dates supporting Tears On Tape, released last week.
During the interview, Valo told Pollstar that he considered the May dates to be similar to “record release parties” and that nearly all of the dates had sold out.
HIM will play the U.S. and Canada later this year on Monster Energy’s multinational “Rock Allegiance Tour” with Volbeat (Denmark), All That Remains (U.S.) and Airbourne (Australia).
