AEG Ogden is moving some senior executives to Sydney as preparations begin on the new $1.3 billion International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney.

Construction begins in December for completion by December 2016 under chairman and CEO Harvey Lister and executive director Rod Pilbeam.

Steve Hevern, interim GM of Perth Arena, returns to Sydney end of June, director of design John Kleindienst moves from the company’s Brisbane headquarters, and Phillip Corr, currently director of special projects in the Middle East based at the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha, returns in July. They’ll work with director of Convention Centres and ICC Sydney CEO Geoff Donaghy.

In other inter-company appointments, Michael Scott is new GM of Perth Arena while, at the Brisbane headquarters, Peter Loxton is confirmed as group business development manager and Mark Pitman as new group business manager and financial controller.

AEG Ogden is currently negotiating to take over running of the Sydney Entertainment Centre from Dec. 9. Steve Hevern will be its GM and Phillip Corr its financial controller.
