Pink Keeps Going & Going

Australia just can’t get enough Pink. With three additional arena dates added this week, the pop/rock star’s “Truth About Love Tour” now includes 45 gigs Down Under.

Touring in support of her sixth studio album, Pink is currently in the middle of her European tour with her next show scheduled Wednesday in Oberhausen. Following additional German gigs and dates in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark, she launches the Australian trek with four nights at the Perth Arena June 25-26 and June 28-29.

The new dates include Aug. 25 in Melbourne at the Rod Laver Arena, marking the tour’s 17th show at the venue. Plus, the gig has tied the Rod Laver Arena’s record for most performances during a single tour. Pink set the record herself on 2009’s “Funhouse Tour.”

She’s also booked her 12th show in the Sydney area with her Sept. 1 date at Sydney’s Allphones Arena. In addition to the four nights at the venue, Pink has eight previously announced shows at the Sydney Entainment Centre in Darling Harbour, located adjacent to the city centre of Sydney.

Finally, Pink has added her 8th show at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Boondall. The Sept. 8 gig is the last stop on the Australian trek before Pink kicks off her North American excursion in October.

Tickets for the new Australian gigs go on sale to the public May 23. A Live Nation members presale begins May 16.

Oh, and one more thing: Pink’s previously announced (and sold out) Aug. 27 show at Brisbane Entertainment Centre has been moved to Sept. 7. Tickets are valid for the new date. Refunds are also available via Ticketek prior to June 14 at 5 p.m.
