Tarbuck Accused Of Sex Abuse

British comedian Jimmy Tarbuck has been added to the growing list of celebrities arrested over alleged sex crimes.

North Yorkshire Police confirmed that a 73-year-old man was arrested in Kingston upon Thames April 26 over an allegation of child sex abuse dating back to the 1970s.

Veteran broadcaster Stuart Hall has already pleaded guilty to 14 offenses involving 13 victims, including a 9-year-old girl.
Hall is due for sentencing at Preston Crown Court June 17.

Tarbuck, who once hosted such TV quiz shows as “Full Swing” and “Winner Takes All,” is so far refusing to comment.
“I’m not commenting on this. You need to speak to my solicitor,” he told the Daily Mirror.

Tarbuck’s arrest came after information was passed on to North Yorkshire Police by Metropolitan Police working on Operation Yewtree, the he child sex abuse investigation triggered by the scandal involving the late BBC personality Jimmy Savile.
