Yet Another Pink Record

Pink’s “The Truth About Love” tour set a new record downunder when Live Nation Australia announced her 18th show (Aug. 26) at the 15,000-capacity Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.

The previous record at the venue for one tour was 17 shows, which the singer herself set in 2009.

The current tour will be attended by more than 500,000 fans, according to Live Nation, with 46 shows June 25 to Sept 5.

These include 12 in Sydney, with eight at the Sydney Entertainment Centre and four at Allphones Arena, eight at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, four at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and four at Perth Arena.

The Funhouse tour in 2009 moved 650,000 tickets over 58 dates, a record for a solo act.
