Blythe Cleared Of Fan’s Death

Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe’s run-in with the Czech legal system appears over.

An appeals court in Prague upheld his acquittal of causing a fan’s death June 5.

Blythe was arrested in summer 2012 – when Lamb Of God returned to Prague – after 19-year-old fan Daniel Nosek died of head injuries sustained during the act’s show at the city’s Abaton nightclub in 2010.

He was detained for 38 days while maintaining his innocence. The Virginia-based band managed to play a few U.S. shows later last year, but Blythe went back to Prague several months ago for his trial.

On March 5 Prague’s Municipal Court found him not guilty of charges he caused Nosek’s death by pushing him offstage, and Blythe returned to the United States.

The state prosecutor appealed and sought a five-year prison term for Bythe.
