Ivan & Alyosha Gear Stolen

Folk–rock ensemble Ivan & Alyosha’s tour struck a sour note recently when the band’s van and a trailer full of gear were stolen in Atlanta.

While the van was eventually recovered, the band noted in a statement “there have been no signs of our trailer or gear since.”

The lengthy list of missing gear includes Gibson, Epiphone, Fender and Rickenbacker guitars; amps; pedals; C&C Drums, Istanbul Agop cymbals; tambourines; maracas; samplers; and in–ear monitors.

Despite the setback, Ivan & Alyosha plans to motor on with a little help from some friends as well as a Pledge Music campaign.

“We’ve received some help so far in the form of donations from Amazon and Rhapsody, and were able to order some new pedals, cables, etc.,” the band said. “Additionally, Noisetrade.com is offering a tip/donation based download of All The Times We Had starting tomorrow.”

Rhapsody donated $10,000 and Amazon contributed $5,000.

Noisetrade.com is offering a tip/donation-based download of the group’s 2013 album, All The Times We Had, starting June 18.

Dualtone Music Group is donating 100 percent of net proceeds from digital and physical sales to the band during the week of June 24 through July 1.

Fans can help the band purchase new gear through donations to Ivan & Alyosha’s Pledge Music page, and in exchange score gifts that range from a postcard from the road to a phone call, VIP concert experience or honorary membership in the band.
