Toby Keith’s tour bus caught fire near Lebanon, Ind., July 1. Keith was not aboard the bus, which ignited on I-65 around 5 a.m. prompting witnesses to call 911.

The bus driver told authorities he noticed flames shooting out of the rear driver side of the bus, according to Fox News.

The bus lost power within seconds but the driver was able to pull the bus over to the emergency lane. The bus carried backup dancers, guitar techs and other road crew, according to Fox. The bus was headed to Nashville from Chicago.

Damage is estimated at a minimum $250,000. The investigation is ongoing but investigators said the fire started in the engine compartment.
