The Rides Of Late Summer
What can you expect from The Rides? The trio’s first album – Can’t Get Enough – features co-written originals while covering songs by Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Iggy And The Stooges and Neil Young. Can’t Get Enough drops on 429 Records Aug. 27.
Although Goldberg and Stills played Al Kooper’s 1968 project, the two artists appeared on different sides of the resulting album and had never actually met face-to-face until their mutual manager, Elliot Roberts, suggested that they collaborate – a team-up that resulted in The Rides.
“It was like finding a long lost soul brother,” Goldberg said. “We connected on so many things, started jamming, and soon had begun writing our first song.”
A taste of The Rides comes to us via a lyrics video for the album’s first single, “Don’t Want Lies.”
