Too Many Fish In
The Pond?

A festival in central Newfoundland, Canada, apparently had some problems with its VIP section – to the point where there is talk of a class-action suit.

The Salmon Festival, promoted by Canadian company Livingston SRO Entertainment, hosted acts like EaglesTragically Hip and Blue Rodeo July 13. At least 21,000 attended the concert, according to CBC News.

However, some compalined of a lack of services, such as expensive or unavailable water on the hot day, and an apparently overcrowded VIP section. A representative for the company said a counterfeit ticket scam was responsible for the overcrowding issues, according to CBC News, and its business manager, Rodney Macdonald, said a police investigation was taking place.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police told the CBC News it had no record of any such complaint. Meanwhile, the mayor of Grand Falls-Windsor blamed too many lawn chairs for the space problem, according to CBC News.

SRO Entertainment declined a recorded interview with CBC News and said it would issue a written statement. Pollstar attempted to reach the company by phone but the calls were unanswered.
