Brooks has said he would consider recording and touring once his daughters were out of high school.

His youngest, Allie, graduates next year and daughter August has already graduated.

However, August has also just given birth to a girl named Karalynn, and Brooks thanked everyone “for their warm wishes and sweet celebration of Baby K’s arrival.”

One of the concert industry’s worst-kept secrets is that Brooks is expected to tour in 2014. Hopefully there will be enough people in the Nashville community to do diaper duty.

“Our children’s lives have always been extremely private and they have been endlessly encouraged to be their own people,” Brooks said. “We have always wanted them to be individuals and not be known as ‘someone’s daughters.’

“I have been amazed and grateful how the press has always respected this. I now ask that respect to please continue as this young family begins the greatest days of their lives.”
