Mane Sued For Double Booking
According to court documents obtained by The Inquisitr, Empire Entertainment claims it paid the rapper $22,500 to play in Little Rock, Ark., Nov. 22.
However, leading up to the concert, Mane and a Tennessee nightclub began advertising on social media another show the same night, the suit says, although representatives for the rapper allegedly denied the other show.
The night of the performance, Mane took the stage for 15 minutes then traveled 138 miles to the other show, which Empire alleges killed ticket sales for the Arkansas gig.
Empire’s suit brings charges of breach of contract and fraud, The Inquisitr reported, and is seeking reimbursement for the rapper’s fee, his hotel, travel expenses and promotions for the Arkansas show.
This won’t be Gucci Mane’s first appearance in court. The rapper was arrested and booked for smashing a champagne bottle over a fan’s head at an Atlanta club in March. He was placed on house arrest but was granted permission to leave his home for work-related obligations.
