The Slayer Tour You’ve Been Waiting For
For Slayer the upcoming road trip includes the band’s first performance in Anchorage, Alaska, since 1996. The shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden and the Left Coast’s Hollywood Palladium should also bring back a few memories. The band hasn’t played either venue in a quarter of a century.
Guitarist Gary Holt continues to fill in for Slayer’s founding member, the late Jeff Hanneman. Word from Slayer’s press wizards is that the band is working on new material and hopes to log some studio time before the fall tour, which follows the group’s September travels south of the border for gigs in Mexico City and South America.
